The issue that causes us to create this campaign is malevolent social media usage, which can cause psychological issues, including low self-esteem, high depression levels, and intensive triggering of anxiety and stress. In other words, it is called fear of missing out (FOMO) syndrome. With the #JOMO campaign, one can be empowered to resist the anxiety and know how to live every second of the day without negative social media influence. Instead of fear of missing out, people can experience the joy of missing out from outside events and occurrences.

The message is to highlight the importance of missing out. “ By fearing to miss out on social media people are missing out real moments. Do not miss on them! ‘’ The demographic of people who are vulnerable the most are teenagers and young adults whose social media usage extends to unprecedented levels during the day.
